Detra Solar is an independent engineering company with 14+ years of experience in the solar energy sector. We focus on designing high-quality PV systems – including ground-mounted, rooftop, carport, and floating installations as well as battery energy storage solutions.

We’re known for our technical precision, adaptability, and deep industry knowledge. As we grow, we’re looking for engineers who are motivated to take on technically complex, high-impact renewable energy projects around the world.

What you’ll do

As a PV Design Engineer at Detra Solar, you will:

  • Deliver industry-leading solar energy design, system optimization, and production calculations for customers, working alongside customers’ technical engineering teams;
  • Lead electrical and mechanical design solutions for renewable energy projects which include Solar and Energy storage technologies;
  • Work on large-scale projects deployed worldwide, supporting both standard and complex system designs;
  • Be responsible for the production of design work and documentation necessary for the construction of Solar and Energy storage projects on customers’ sites – layout drawings, Single Line Diagrams, cable calculations, cable routes, equipment layouts, etc;
  • Work alongside the relevant technology specialists and engineers to produce comprehensive 2D and 3D design solutions and relevant bills of materials;
  • Ensure all engineering and design work complies with all regulatory requirements for projects;

Who you are

Whether you’re an experienced professional or someone just starting your journey in the renewable energy sector, we are looking for individuals with a passion for growth and development.

You will thrive in this role if you have:

  • Background in Electrical, Power, or Renewable Energy engineering;
  • Practical experience with solar PV design or a genuine interest in developing expertise in the field;
  • Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD, PVSyst, PVCase, PVSol, etc;
  • Attention to detail, responsibility, and technical curiosity;
  • Good communication skills and confidence using English in both written and spoken form, other languages would be an advantage;
  • Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to collaborate effectively with teams.

    As we continue to expand our project delivery capabilities, we’re looking for a Project Manager to lead renewable energy projects across international markets.

    About the role:

    This role is ideal for a professional with a strong EPC/EPCM background who can ensure utility-scale PV and BESS projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

    You’ll act as the key specialist between clients, EPCs, and internal teams, overseeing the full project lifecycle – from early planning and risk assessment to technical coordination and successful handover.

    What you’ll do:

    • Act as the primary interface between the owner, EPC, and key stakeholders
    • Lead project planning and monitor schedules, budgets, risks, and contractual obligations.
    • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies (technical, contractual, environmental, safety, financial).
    • Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs (civil, electrical, commissioning, procurement).
    • Review, approve, and track key deliverables and milestone completions.
    • Represent the design team in client meetings and technical reviews.
    • Manage project documentation flow and design coordination with procurement and construction.
    • Support business development activities such as bid preparation and permitting.

    Required skillset:

    • 5+ years of project management experience in EPC/EPCM within renewables (preferably solar PV or BESS).
    • Strong technical understanding of PV and/or BESS systems, components, and best practices.
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
    • Proven track record in coordinating design reviews, technical assessments, and project execution.
    • Knowledge of international standards (IEC/IEEE, HSE, construction, project management).
    • Familiarity with project control tools, cost management software, and MS Office.
    • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
    • Proactive problem-solving approach, with strong organizational and analytical skills.
    • Fluency in English (C1); additional languages are a plus.

    Nice to have:

    • Experience in Owner’s Engineering, Technical Advisory, or EPC/O&M in solar or BESS.
    • Knowledge of design software (PVsyst, PVsol, or similar).
    • Professional certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
