Q: Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your background? A: My name is Olena, and I am originally from Ukraine. I graduated from the Kyiv National Economic University, and during my studies, I began to build my HR & Recruitment career. My first job was as a recruiter, which eventually evolved into a Team Lead role at a recruitment agency specializing in the renewable energy sector. During this time, I gained extensive experience in finding and attracting highly specialized professionals from various fields. At Detra Solar, I hold the position of Talent Acquisition Partner, where my task is to attract the best specialists in the solar energy industry who will help our company grow and implement sustainable energy solutions for our partners worldwide. I have always been interested in sustainable development and environmental responsibility, so I’m motivated by the idea that my work can have a positive impact on the environment.

Q: How long have you been with Detra Solar? A: My acquaintance with Detra Solar began two years ago when I started cooperating as an external partner with the company. During this time, I participated in hiring projects, which allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the company’s mission and values. In 2024, I joined the Detra Solar team and moved to Lithuania to fully dedicate myself to working in this promising and dynamic company.

Professional Experience

Q: What attracted you to work at Detra Solar? A: I was attracted to working at Detra Solar because of their commitment to innovation and sustainability in the solar energy sector. I was impressed by ambitious projects and the positive impact they aim to make on the environment. Additionally, during my time working as an external recruitment partner for Detra Solar, I personally witnessed the open collaboration and forward-thinking culture of the team. This, combined with the opportunity to contribute to important and meaningful projects, ultimately convinced me to join the company and be part of their mission.

Q: Can you describe a typical day in your role? A: A typical workday in my role is quite diverse. I spend a lot of time communicating with candidates and conducting interviews. I also engage in international market analysis, planning talent acquisition strategies, collaborating with partners, and improving recruitment processes within the team. Additionally, I interact with internal departments to determine recruitment needs and develop candidate engagement strategies to address these needs.

Q: What do you enjoy most about your job? A: For me, my role and the company are not just a job, but also an opportunity to be part of a great change that makes our world better. I am proud of being able to contribute to this important process. I also enjoy the opportunity to collaborate with talented and motivated professionals who join our company. It’s interesting to explore diverse career paths and help people grow within our company.

Q: What is the most challenging part of your role? A: One of the most challenging aspects of my job is balancing the company’s need for fast and efficient growth with high quality standards. This means identifying and attracting the best candidates while executing the recruitment process with great attention to detail and consideration of the corporate culture.

Q: How does your role contribute to the company’s goals and mission? A: My role directly contributes to achieving the company’s goals and fulfilling its mission through sourcing and attracting qualified professionals. I help ensure our company has the necessary talent required for the development and successful implementation of projects.

Personal Insights

Q: What motivates you to come to work every day? A: One of my main motivations is a feeling of responsibility to the company and its goals. I understand the importance of my role in providing the company with highly qualified employees who help it grow and succeed. The interest in achieving a common goal and the opportunity to make a significant contribution to this process inspires me every day.

Q: What do you think sets Detra Solar apart from its competitors? A: One of the factors that make Detra Solar unique among its competitors is our desire for excellence and quality in all aspects of our business. We carefully control the quality of our projects. Each project is executed with the highest attention to detail and quality control to ensure our clients’ satisfaction and to achieve the highest standards in PV design.

Q: How do you stay organized and manage your time effectively? A: To stay organized and manage my time effectively, I use a combination of methods. Firstly, I set specific goals and tasks for the day using a task list system. This helps me visualize what needs to be done and prioritize effectively. Additionally, I use calendar planning to schedule meetings, important events, and deadlines. It’s also important to allocate time for rest and energy renewal, so I include breaks in my schedule. This helps maintain productivity and balances work with personal life.

Q: What skills do you find most useful in your role? A: In my role, the key driving force is the ability to effectively communicate with candidates, analyze the company’s needs and the market to develop talent search and attraction strategies, as well as the skill to perceive the needs of each candidate and approach them with empathy and understanding.

Team and Culture

Q: Can you share a memorable moment you’ve had while working at Detra Solar? A: Perhaps for me, the first day before my official start of work will be memorable. It was a few days before the New Year, and colleagues from my department invited me to an informal gathering before the holidays. On that day, I was greeted by a friendly atmosphere in the office and tremendous positivity from my colleagues. I felt very comfortable, as if I had met friends whom I hadn’t seen in several years. The office tour and getting to know the team left a pleasant impression and sparked a desire to join the work quickly and contribute to the company’s development.

Q: How would you describe the company culture at Detra Solar? A: In our company, professionalism and a casual atmosphere blend harmoniously. We are dedicated to our work and uphold high quality standards, but we also understand the importance of relaxation and entertainment to maintain a positive work environment. Therefore, we regularly organize events that promote socializing and relaxation, allowing us to work productively and derive satisfaction from our work.

Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work? A: Outside of work, I enjoy taking walks in parks, forests, or by lakes or rivers, appreciating nature and fresh air. It’s a wonderful way to relax, unwind from the hustle and bustle, and recharge with new experiences.

Future Outlook

Q: Where do you see yourself in the next five years? A: Over the next five years, I want to grow as a professional in my field, acquiring new skills and experience. I would like the opportunity to grow within the company and reach new heights in my career. I plan to continue improving my leadership and communication skills to become more effective and contribute to the success not only of myself but also of our team and the company.

Q: What advice would you give to someone considering a career at Detra Solar? A: My main advice to anyone considering a career at Detra Solar is to be ready for challenges and learning. Our company offers unique opportunities for personal and professional growth, but it also requires a high level of commitment and dedication.
