Modestas Mitkus brings over a decade of experience in solar PV and energy storage engineering, with a strong focus on technical design, team leadership, and project delivery. His expertise spans Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and large-scale project optimisation across global markets.

Having progressed through multiple engineering and leadership roles at Detra Solar — from Design Engineer to Head of Design — Modestas has played a key role in delivering complex utility-scale projects, contributing to a portfolio exceeding 2 GWp across various stages of development. He has also been closely involved in some of the company’s most important milestones, contributing to the development of internal processes, team growth, and overall operational excellence.

As Managing Director, Modestas combines deep technical expertise with a practical understanding of engineering operations. His approach focuses on delivering high-quality, efficient, and commercially aligned projects, while strengthening team capabilities, advancing engineering standards, and supporting Detra Solar’s continued growth as a trusted partner in solar and storage design.
